Okay, this post doesn't necessarily relate to family travel, but Pam from Nerd's Eye View has produced an excellent series of articles on her recent trip to Southeast Asia, including Cambodia, which makes this a good time to mention our personal interest in Cambodia. Because Southeast Asia was the last major trip Travelin' Mom and I took before TJ came along, we got into a dialogue with Pam about the wonders of Cambodia and the amazing Cambodian people, especially the children. We discussed several worthwhile charities that help the Cambodian kids, like the Cambodian Children's Fund, A New Day Cambodia, the Ponheary Ly Foundation, and the Shinta Mani community program. Rather than rehash the discussion here, you can check our description of each of the charities as they appear in Nerd's Eye View.
Although you may not have the time or ability to visit Cambodia in the near future, visiting one of these charities' sites can be an even more rewarding experience.
